L’enneagramma è un sistema costituito da una figura a nove punte inscritta in un cerchio. Ogni punta rappresenta una per- sonalità. Ognuno, sin dalla nascita, adotta una strategia di sopravvivenza, sceglie una risorsa rinunciando alle altre otto disponibili. Ogni personalità ha pregi e difetti e ha da imparare dalle altre. Non esiste una tipologia peggiore o migliore.
In campo medico può essere utilizzato sia per la relazione con il paziente, sia per indagare sulle motivazioni e sulle influenze psicologiche che agiscono in ogni singola persona. Questo può essere utile anche di fronte al portatore di lenti a contatto, per capire motivazioni e pro- babili comportamenti nel loro uso e per prevedere un successo o un fallimento.
Enneagram and contact lenses
An enneagram is a system consisting of a nine-points figure enclosed in circle. Each point represents a personality type.
Since our birth all of us adopt a survival strategy, by choosing only one of the nine available resources. Each personality has its strengths and weaknesses and must learn from others. No single personality type can be said to be better or worse. In the medical field this diagram can be employed both with reference to the doctor-patient relationship and to investigate motivation and psychological inputs for each individual.
In this sense it can be useful for the contact-lens wearer, in order to understand motivation and likely behavior while using contact lenses and to foresee success
or defeat.
